The Xmas match was won by Brian Pallett who had 5-1-0 against Dave Smith's 4-14-0. Merv Burrows was 3rd with 3-8-0. The hampers were won By Brian Pallett from the River, Henry Sadler won the Canal with about 1lb and Richard Wiggins won the Lake with 1 Perch for 2oz.
On a very cold morning, nine anglers did battle in the latest round of the Over 60s League. After arriving at their peg after a very muddy fight on the towpath, battle commenced. Fish were caught from the off, falling mainly to pinkie on the inside line. As the match progressed the odd Perch began to appear. Dave Smith came first with 9lbs 8oz, Roach and Perch on lobworm. Second Les Durnford 5lbs 15oz, all Roach, and third Bill Bowsher with 5lbs 13oz. A total weight of almost 43lbs being caught on the day

The final match of this league was attended by five, keen and faithful anglers. On a cool morning peg numbers were drawn and battle commenced. The going was slow with small fish showing to maggots and pinkies. The winner was consistent Richard Faithful on Peg 19 who weighed in with 6lbs 15oz, followed by Dave Smith on Peg 14 with 5lbs and Les Durnford with 3lbs 6oz. Winning the league with 37 points Richard Faithful, second Dave Smith with 32 points and third Henry Sadler with 25 points.
