Just five quality anglers contested the latest over 60s match. On a damp morning, swims were drawn and battle commenced. The first hour very little was caught but improved as time passed. Steve Pallett fishing Peg 16 was the winner with 7lbs 13oz of Perch and Roach. Second Mervyn Burrows with 6lbs 9os from Peg 17, and third Henry Sadler on Peg 11 with 5lbs 8oz. With one match to fish, Bill Bowsher is looking to win the championship but a battle is on for the next four places. Henry Sadler.
