Club championship match 10th September 2017

The result of the CC match on Speen Moors 10 Sep. On a windy day the river was very patchy. Brian Pallett was in the middle field on peg 30 and had a lovely bag of roach and dace. Steve Thame was on the end peg on Green bank and caught consistently with Brian Cripps in the big weir also having a good day.   The main river was poor down in the woods which had produced good bags of roach and dace in recent weeks.  The run down was:

Club championship match 3rd September 2017

The result of the CC match on Enborne canal Sunday 3rd Sep. They had the pleasure of fishing the upstream section on Enborne canal which is opposite the tow path and away from bikers, runners and dog walkers. Brian Cripps won from the end peg with a mixed bag of skimmers roach and perch. The other weights were even with just the odd bigger stamp of skimmer or perch making the difference.  The weights were:

Over 60's match 16th August 2017

The result of the Over 60s match on Willows on Wed 16 Aug. Dave Kean and Brian Cripps got among the new carp stock to take the first two places. Apart from the top three it was one carp apiece, only Henry Sadler missed out on the carp. The wights were:

Over 60's match 30th August 2017

The result of the over 60s match at Avington on 30 Aug. The match was fished in the downstream "E" section on a warm day interrupted by showers. Despite the bank holiday boat traffic all 9 anglers caught a lot of small roach with the winning weights made up of bonus skimmers. The scores were:

Steve Myers 3-14-0

Club championship match 13th August 2017

The result of the CC match which was switched from Alders to Avington D on Sun 13 Aug. A good turn out after the venue switch. Wiggy drew the top end peg and had a lovely day catching skimmers and roach, the 14 anglers were well spread out by match sec Ade Ager and plenty of small fish were caught with skimmers making up the bigger weights. The full run down was:
