Over 70's rover 17th July 2013

The Over 70's returned for a second event on Dobsons with an increased field of 8 anglers looking for the bream. In the event they seem to have struggled to find the shoals, returning low weights for the time of year. Everybody weighed in though, with Ken Hunt doubling his nearest challenger.

Over 60's match 26th June 2013

The Over 60's campaign started this week on the Enborne Canal, and Dave Smith stormed away to the first win of the series. Despite the water having been draind just previously due to boat damage, they proved that some of the fish were still there. There was a field of 11 anglers who all weighed in, showing that this is a strongly supported event and the old boys are as competitive as ever.

Club Championship 23rd June 2013

The Club championship kicked off the 2013 season on Willows this week. With a field of nearly 20 anglers trying their luck it was likely to be a close contest with good weights despite some fish spawning.In the event it came down to a race between Dave Smith and Ade Ager, both anglers showing their intentions on the trophy at this early stage. Quite a lot of anglers blanked.

Over 70's rover 19th June 2013

The Over 70's were quick off the new season start line with their first match of  the series, trying to scratch some silvers out of Alders. In the event 6 of them weighed in, with M Shore bagging the first 10 points of the season with a runaway win of 2lb 13oz. The others didn't quite manage pound of fish between them.

Twilight series 2013

The first series of the year has already been decided with Josh Purton running away with the Twilight trophy. The title was all but settled after 3 of the 6 matches and he was uncatchable after 4 matches. He finally scored four wins and a 4th place for 47 points. Dave Smith was second with 26 points and Ade Ager third with 22 points. All the top weights and points are available in the match result page on this site. Notable performances were:

Josh beating Richard Wiggins by just 5 ounces when the both weighed in 27lb plus, mor than double the nearest weight on Willows on 25th June.

Some good weights from Alders on 2nd July with 8lb winning the match

Dave Smith sneaking a 2lb tench in the last ten minutes of the last match, for a token victory.
