Club Championship 3rd November 2013

The Club championship visited Speen Moors as the weather changes towards winter, looking for a bit of low and colour, and some hungry fish. A huge turn out of 19 anglers resulted in a close match, with the river not fishing well at all. The series is over half way now and still wide open, with Martin Pallett holding a single point lead over Dave Smith, and others not far behind. The result was:

Dave Taylor 8-8-0 peg 1 in the woods 2 Chub

Henry Sadler 5-1-0 peg 45 at the end of the green bank all Roach

Over 60's match 30th October 2013

The Over 60's held their final match on Avington D with Richard Wiggins 10 points behind Dave Smith. With Dave occupied at another event he was uncatchable for the title. Even a win for Richard would mean he would drop 3 points under the scoring scheme. So the contest was over second place with three anglers in contention. In the event Richard remained second in the series with Mervyn in thrid because of having more match wins than Brian Pallett. Well Done Dave! The final match result:

Henry Sadler 5-1-0

Brian Cripps 4-11-0

Richard Wiggins 4-5-0

Wilf Squires 21-13-0 peg 12 Bream and Perch

Brian Pallett 10-4-0 peg 4
