Over 60's match 9th July 2014

The over 60's went to Willows eagerly expecting to get amongst the carp, but they were playing hard to get. There was a big field of 17 anglers and they fell into three groups; those who got a carp, those who got a silver fish, and those who got nothing. The results reflect this very clearly, the top four places having a single carp each, the winner decided by how big the carp was. More than half the field blanked. The winner was Steve Myers to make it two in a row and on maximum points, Second Steve Thame and the other carp catchers were Dave Smith and Brian Cripps. The full results is:

Steve Myers 11-5-0 peg 26 1 Carp;

Steve Thame 8-4-0 peg 54 1 Carp;
