For the second match on consecutive weekends, the club championship went to the river at Speen Moors. Ade Ager ran away with this on on the favourite peg. As if beating the field by a huge margin wasn't enough, he had chub to 5lb 7oz and also lost a barbel mid way through. At this stage in the championship there just 2 points cover the top three competitors. The full result was:

The club championship moved back to the canal for their next outing. This one was a close race between Dave Smith and Ade Ager, with Dave just keeping the fish coming to grab the win. Further down the field the weights were very close, with probably just a single fish between each place. The full run down was:

The club championship continued its stillwater contests with a visit to Dobsons, looking for some big weights. The lake didn't disappoint with Dave Smith and Steve Myers battling for top spot. Dave won it with the extra bream to go over 35lb. Below the top 3 the weights tailed off steeply to leave the lower points being won with a few ounces. The result was:

The over 60's match on Willows was expected to find the carp feeding well. Dave Smith bagged four of the big boys for a runaway win over 40lb. Only Brian Cripps and Ken Hunt also found a carp each for the lower podium, the rest of the field struggling for scraps. The full result was:

The over 60's made their first visit to Avington for this match, and found the canal bursting with small fish. IT was a speed fishing contest basically decided by who could bag the most silvers. Steve Myers and Henry Sadler cruised away from the pack for a good fist and second place. The full result:
