Eight anglers contested the New Year Shield, six anglers being club officials. The weather was mild, dry and with a slight wind. Peg 1 was drawn by Henry Sadler and Peg 2 Les Durnford. Lower Enbourne was very coloured but Upper Enbourne very clear. Richard faithful was the winner with 11lbs 7oz from Peg 16, second Steve Myers with 8lbs 7oz from the first pallet on Lower Enbourne. A total of 50lbs of fish being caught during the match. Our president Steve Pallet finished 6th with 4lbs 7oz. Tight Lines, Henry Sadler.
