Club Championship - Alders - 10.7.22

he first championship match for many years was attended by eleven anglers on a very hot day. With water levels low, it was always going to be a difficult day. The match started with just odd small fish being caught. Concentration was the central island of lily pads where the Bream reside, but not interested in feeding today. With 45 mins to go, Richard Faithful snared a Bream from Peg 22 to win the match. Dave Smith was second from Peg 1 with 3lbs 2oz, and third was Bill Bowsher on Peg 9 with 2lbs 8oz. We welcome Dave Anderson to the championship and hopefully more new faces for the next match. Tight lines, Henry Sadler.

Result -  R Faithfull 4-1-0, D Smith 3-2-0, W Bowsher 2-8-0, D Clarke 2-2-0, T Franklin 1-12-0, R Wiggins 1-4-0, H Sadler 1-3-0, S Myers 1-2-0, D Anderson 0-7-0, J Cox 0-2-0.   S Thame and T Wirth DNW.
