Bailiffing

Any member can put themselves forward as a bailiff. In fact any member can act as a bailiff at any time by asking to see somebody's permit and identity card. If you join our team of official bailiffs you are authorised to act on behalf of the committee to uphold the rules, remove unauthorised persons, and to initiate disciplinary processes. You will be briefed on how to perform the role of bailiff, you will have a special permit to identify you as a bailiff, and if you meet the required amount of visits to fisheries you may get a free permit.

To become a bailiff please contact the head bailiff using the information on your permit.

If while fishing you are approached by a bailiff please be co-operate with their requests.

Club bailiffs are limited to upholding the club rules and do not perform the task of Environment Agency bailiffs.
